Your dog will taste the thrill of the hunt with our Wilderness formula. This is an exceptional diet and a good choice for managing weight. Our fresh lamb is imported from New Zealand, the world’s leading source of pasture raised lamb and well regarded for good animal welfare and environment consideration and is a healthy alternative to beef, providing comparable levels of protein and iron with lower fat and calories.

This unique formula is highly regarded for clearing up dermatologic and other conditions caused by adverse food reactions or the buildup of toxins.

Timberwolf Legends Wilderness diet is composed of high levels of lamb meal and fresh lamb naturally raised on the lush open green pastures of New Zealand, one of the safest meat producing countries in the world from breeds recognized for the quality of their meat and being raised by expert farmers.

Fresh salmon, a deep sea cold water fish provides important amounts of the antioxidants amino acid taurine.  Salmon is an excellent source of vitamin B12, vitamin D and selenium. It is a good source of niacin, omega-3 fatty acids, protein, phosphorus and vitamin B6 and is a good source of choline, pantothenic acid, biotin and potassium.

Whitefish meal is a concentrated meat source with almost 300% more protein than the fresh fish itself.  Whitefish meal comes from clean, dried, whole fish and fish cuttings of commercial fish operations sourced from sustainable fisheries.

Super food pumpkin is one of the lesser known delicious nutritious fruits that is easy on sour tummies which can help alleviate a dog’s digestive issues. This complex carbohydrate is loaded with potassium, iron and beta-carotene that helps regulate the digestive system and whose high dietary fiber can help keep your dog regular if he has issues with constipation and helps maintain a healthy immune system.

Dried dehydrated organic kelp provides extraordinary amounts of iodine and other minerals, vitamins A, B12, C and E, antioxidants, phytonutrients, amino acids, omega-3 fats and soluble fiber.  The nutrients in kelp are commonly considered potent enough to protect against cancer, radiation exposure, detoxification and support normal brain development maintain healthy eyes, skin and coat.

Salmon oil has high levels of omega 3 essential fatty acids including EPA and DHA and may also be consumed by canines requiring a more moderate protein proportions. Research suggests that a high ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 essential fatty acids (greater than 1 to 6 omega 3 to omega 6) may lower the incidence of cancer and may even help animals with cancer live longer than they would otherwise. EPA benefits the heart and circulatory system by promoting healthy blood triglycerides and blood flow and also plays a role in the natural body movement of joints and can therefore be beneficial to joint pain and inflammation. DHA is the most highly unsaturated fatty acid found in nature. DHA supports normal mental function, optimal memory, focus and learning.

Direct-fed microbial products: Probiotics are used to assist in digestion and help move food through the gut. Some common conditions they treat are: Irritable bowel syndrome, Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Infectious diarrhea (caused by viruses, bacteria, or parasites), Antibiotic-related diarrhea.

Lactobacillus Acidophilus, this may be the most common probiotic. It’s the one you’ll find in yogurt and other fermented foods. Different strains can help with diarrhea and may help with people who can’t digest lactose, the sugar in milk.

Bacillus Subtilis is one of the bacterial champions in secreted enzyme production and is such a vigerous probiotic it is used to study the behavior of microorganisms in space

Bifidobacterium Thermophilum, you can also find it in some dairy products. It may help ease the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and some other conditions.

Enterococcus Faecium produces antibacterial peptides called bacteriocins. This microbe can be used in fermenting foods like vegetables and can also be used as a probiotic to out-compete deleterious bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract.

Bifidobacterium Longum Bifidobacteria have a symbiotic relationship with its animal host. B.longum ferments sugars into lactic acid, and this helps to lower the pH in the intestines and helps to protect and prevent disease. B. longum is the most often seen species and benefits include: diarrhea prevention in antibiotic treated patients and immune stimulation.

    Wilderness Legends Elk and Salmon
    Review by Karenon 4/26/2017
I have two huskys. My older boy needed coaxing to eat. He was losing weight. I bought small bags of different varieties and the dogs both like this the best. My Buster will eat this without adding any toppers. He and his brother gobble this down. I ordered a larger bag. I am so glad that I tried this for my elderly dogs.

I have 2 huskies and they both love the food. Neither are picky by any means, but they cry and whine when they know it's close to food time. They didn't do that before. They drool while I dish it up. I'm very satisfied.

    Excellent food!
    Review by Melissaon 12/21/2016
After trying multiple high end foods, my Labrador was still experiencing horrible skin issues. I bought a bag of Wilderness Legends thinking it was worth a try after reading reviews on The dog food adviser. After just 3 weeks on this food, my dogs skin was clearing up and she was eating without having to coax her. She loves this food! I place a handful in her treat ball and she goes crazy trying to get every last piece out! My dog has been eating this food for 6 months now and her skin issues are a thing of the past. Our vet is so impressed, he is now recommending this food to other people whose pets are suffering with food allergies. I can't say it enough...this is the best food on the market!!

    Great Product
    Review by Anson's parenton 6/28/2016
I purchased this food for my 1.5 year German Shepherd. It is absolutely of great quality! Though my Shepher did not particularly like this, I would still go on to say that the food quality was great. (I just have a picky eater.) This food has superior ingredients, which is extremely hard to find these day. I will say that it's only fault was that it does smell a little fishy, but put in a tight container and it's no problem. I would recommend this bag of food to anyone wanting a great wholesome meal for their pet!

    Awesome Product
    Review by Porkchop's Momon 6/12/2016
I've been feeding this product to my pug since he was only a few months old. He is almost 10 now. He is very allergic to many things, dog food included especially beef. He has done well on this food and his vet says he is the healthiest pug he has ever seen. Porkchop is a very happy and health pug. I recommend this brand of food to anyone who will listen to me.
