Thank you for responding to our call for your stories about your pets. We wish that we could select each and every one of them as our Timberwolf Ambassador, but we were forced to narrow it down to a select few. Each finalist embodies the Timberwolf ideals, and we would be proud to have each of them represent the Timberwolf brand.

Click on the images below to view a larger version in a new window. Please read their stories and vote below for the pet that you feel best represents Timberwolf. Voting will end on October 1st at 5pm EST. We will announce the winner the following week.

Quest, Pirate and Spirit

We discovered Timberwolf when Spirit was just a young dog. He is nearly 13 now. Quest, almost 7, and Pirate, 2, have both eaten Timberwolf all their lives. Their favorite is Wilderness, with Dakota Bison running a close second. They love the Wild Salmon Oil and all the canned formulas too. They usually get Wilderness for breakfast, with some salmon oil and a little canned food. Dinner is Dakota Bison with some canned formula added to it.

Since we moved to the country, their Timberwolf is delivered and they get very excited about it when the box is put over the fence. We get the cart and bring it in and I have a lot of help opening the box. It is a wonderful food and it is nice to be able to trust the quality of the food I give my White Shepherds. They are very special to me and I want them to have the best!

Tony and Carmella

Hello Timberwolf!

We are very enthusiastic proponents of your food; in fact, just today I was telling an AC repair crew all about your food because they were so impressed with the appearance of my English Bulldog, Tony, and my French Bulldog, Carmella. Tony has been on Timberwolf for a few years now; he's 5 years old. Carmella is a little over 1 yr and has been on Timberwolf since I acquired her as a puppy and will be for her whole life!

We started using Timberwolf brand foods when I started to get a better education about dog food. Unfortunately, this was right around the first big pet food scare and I had been using a brand from the recall. My English Bulldog had always struggled with eye tearing, off and on infections in his facial skin folds, and would occasionally break out with random bumps on his body and hot spots here and there. He was a very active dog, and I believed I was feeding him right and just had to deal with these 'breed' type issues I had read many English Bulldogs had. However, once I started to realize that I really wasn't feeding my pride and joy what I should be, I did the research and found Timberwolf. ALMOST IMMEDIATELY the tearing, skin issues, etc, went completely away.

Today, everyone who sees Tony, especially other English Bulldog owners, comment on his appearance, his vigor, his weight, his coat, you name it. I hardly ever have to deep-clean his folds anymore, if he tears at all it's clear, and he has little to no gas issues (I can't say the same for the Frenchie regarding the gas...but Frenchie is just about synonymous with Flatulence!). I even tried straying once to a different food provided by a local feed store that appeared to be equivalent at first glance, in terms of ingredients and kilo calories, and was quite a bit cheaper. I thought it had to be too good to be true, and found out after two months or so it was--the tearing had returned, and they were both chewing at their paws incessantly--something they do very little of with Timberwolf in their diet. I will not stray again, and I trust my diet sensitive breeds will be eating Timberwolf long into their healthy life spans.

Switch to another food? Tony and Carmella say "Forgetta bout it."

Sincerely yours,

Jeremy and Allison Broihier. Largo, FL.

Houston

This is Houston. He is a 3 year old Jack Russell/Poodle mix. Houston loves to play soccer, play chase with our cat and spend hours lounging on the couch with his family. Houston has had some skin problems, causing him to chew little bald patches mainly on his paws. I took him to our local pet store and they suggested that I try Timberwolf Organics Dakota Bison formula. Houston has been itch and bald patch free ever since!! Since then we have been unable to purchase Timberwolf from where we live. This brought me to your website. It has been great, because it has helped me to learn more about your company, try your other varieties of food (all of which Houston loves and can eat with no problems) and hear from your other customers and their success stories with your products.

Thank you for making such a great product and for helping Houston live a healthy, itch free life!

Jennifer (and Houston)

Bentley

Being involved in Golden Retriever Rescue, many needy Goldens have been fostered in my home; five times I have been a foster failure – (they end up adopting me) - one such one is here in the photo, Bentley. He will make a great ambassador for Timberwolf and will be very happy to tell other dogs how good the Black Forest Venison and Lamb diet is. I first started feeding one of the other varieties and when, one time my dealer did not have any in stock I decided to try the Black Forest and have been using it not only for my dogs, but any visiting friends and relatives’ dogs and the foster dogs. With ages varying from 6 months to 14 years, I have never had any stomach upsets, despite the fact that many of these poor dogs have probably never been fed such a quality diet before and we do not have the chance to do the changeover slowly as is recommended. You can see from the photo how beautiful Bentley’s coat is, such an improvement over a year ago when he came into our programme.

Bentley is at this time carrying a little excess weight, my fault, I typed in the wrong amount for the house sitter to feed him while I was away and so for two weeks he was in hog heaven getting almost double rations!

Luka

Just three short weeks after we got our new husky puppy, “Luka” was already running into trouble. It started with soft stool and daily vomiting. We visited our veterinarian, who dewormed our pup and put her on a bland diet that was meant to settle her stomach. This only made things worse! We went back to the vet, and did all sorts of tests. We took radiographs, did blood work, and tested for parasites. Everything came back normal. We decided to switch her to a natural dog food, which helped a little at first. Then the soft stools and vomiting returned, and now she was itching constantly. She was actually biting the fur off of her legs and shoulders. We talked to our veterinarian again, and after some more testing, discovered that Luka had food allergies. She was allergic to most grains, chicken, beef, and pork to name a few. Now we were searching for a dog food that she would not be allergic to. We looked at a few prescription diets our veterinarian had to offer, but we wanted to go with something that was as natural as possible. Only adding to our problems was the fact that Luka was a picky eater. So we selected four foods that met our standards and did a taste test. Timberwolf Organics “Ocean Blue” formula was one of those foods. We set four little piles of food down, and let Luka go. Every time we did this, she would always eat the Timberwolf first! She would not even touch two of the foods. We thought this had to be a mistake, that for some reason, she just always got to the bowl with the Timberwolf in it first. Just to prove to ourselves that she really liked the Timberwolf best, we placed the three foods she had rejected closer to her, and placed the Timberwolf in the opposite corner of the room. We set her down right next to the three foods, and she walked right by them, and went straight for the Timberwolf! Needless to say, we were convinced, and Luka has been eating Timberwolf ever since. After starting her on Timberwolf, her stools became formed, and the daily vomiting stopped. Gradually, the itching decreased, and the hair began to grow back on her legs. We also started to use Timberwolf fish oil, which Luka loves very much. We get many complements on how soft and beautiful her coat is. When people ask what our secret is to keeping Luka looking so great, we are proud to tell them all about Timberwolf Organics.
